Monticello First Baptist Church is a congregation dedicated to reaching Monticello and the world with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. In striving to do this, we hold fast to a simple mission: Loving, Growing, Serving…for the glory of God.
LOVING
We believe that one of the greatest assets a church has is unity and fellowship. At Monticello FBC we have a sweet fellowship as we love God and love others in the name of Jesus Christ. This unity and fellowship has allowed us to use God’s blessings in order to be a blessing to others. Jesus said that the greatest commandment was to love God and love your neighbor as yourself, and we want that truth to be central in every ministry that we undertake.
GROWING
A healthy, life-changing Christian is one who is growing in their relationship with God. Because we believe that, we want to provide every opportunity for people to grow in their knowledge, faith, witness, and personal walk with Jesus. From our pulpit ministry…to our Sunday School program…to our discipleship groups…we are committed to offering every possible opportunity for spiritual growth in our family of faith.
SERVING
For many years, First Baptist has been a mission-minded church and we want to grow and become more and more effective in that area of ministry. Jesus commanded us to take the Gospel into all the world, and we want to be fully engaged in that calling. Because we believe that, we have countless opportunities for people to engage in service and ministry. Whether it is serving on a CARE team, the Love Ministry, or missions (local, regional, and international), we have a place for you to serve and be a part of taking the life-changing message of Jesus Christ into all the world!
